Investment in Farming Community

Beyond processing rice, NRSP APCL invests in the farming communities it sources from — through training, fair-trade practices and long-term partnerships.

At the heart of our sourcing model is a direct relationship with the small farmers of Punjab. Rather than buying paddy through layers of commission agents and informal market intermediaries, NRSP APCL purchases directly from the farmers who grow it — on fair-trade principles and transparent, pre-agreed pricing. Farmers know exactly what they will be paid before they bring their harvest to our gate, and they are paid promptly, without the deductions and delays common in the informal market.

This direct-buying model benefits both sides of the transaction. By removing the middlemen, we are able to source high-quality paddy at a more competitive cost, and we pass that efficiency on through better pricing for our own buyers and export partners — all while paying farmers a fairer price than they would typically receive elsewhere. It is a model where consistent quality, dependable volumes and fair pricing reinforce each other, season after season.
